[presentation]
SITE SEEING ZOOM is an exploration of a memory landscape on a collective scale, which is inspired by the new networks of communication as models and as artistic language. This memory landscape is realised using a 3D real time tool: Ultraflat Sphere, developed by Lorenzo Pastrana and adapted to the needs of the performance.

The set up consists of two semi-translucent screens erected in a cross 1,45 m above the ground. An actor is present on the stage, he is the human scale and a guide. He navigates in two worlds: the physical space and the projected virtual space, where his shadow sometimes appears. The scenography experiments with navigation as a new way of narration.

The projected landscape on the screens is mainly composed of images, like 'memory screens' drawn from the memory of four fictive persons. They represent at the same time four ages in life and four capacities of memorising. An old man living in the past which slowly blurs his eyes. An injured man living in a collision of present and past. A young man with a capacity of memorising close to the computer, powerfull yet abstract. A boy to whom the notion of time appears unreal.

These persons stay invisible but their voices are heard during the performance. The sound environment accompanies the voices, which move around the stage, inviting the audience to walk.

Duration: 66 minutes

The performance is supported by the Danish Ministry of Culture Development Fund, The Danish Art Foundation, The Beckett Foundation, Copenhagen Cultural Foundation, The Tuborg Foundation and Ambassade de France au Danemark, Service Culturel.
